At the Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are a total of about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
We are looking for decision-makers for our examination operations and our regional control unit in Malmö.
With us, you will work on current societal issues that are affected by what is happening in our environment. Issues that concern and engage. We offer a dynamic work environment where continuous improvements and meeting people are in focus.
What does a decision-maker do?
As a decision-maker, you provide support and develop your colleagues in legal application, subject matters, and investigation methodology. You identify and analyze areas for development and propose improvements. On behalf of the unit, you gather and maintain knowledge and monitor standards, guidelines, and practices.
As a decision-maker within the examination operations, you handle, investigate, and decide on cases based on laws and regulations. The decisions you make have legal effects for individuals and affect their rights to benefits, rights, and obligations. You handle appeals and follow up on cases in connection with presentations to ensure high legal quality. Your tasks include making confidentiality assessments before information is disclosed and administering records and documents in cases. You also work to guide and provide service to individuals who have a case with the Migration Agency and to other stakeholders who have various inquiries.
As a decision-maker in the control unit, you analyze data and identify phenomena to contribute to the Migration Agency's mission to prevent and combat abuse and fraud. In this role, you may work in collaboration with other authorities against organized crime and labor market crime. Tasks may also involve working to combat human trafficking, conducting follow-up checks in cases, and informing and preventing the misuse of welfare systems.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and the different conditions of individuals. You are clear and adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient. You have good collaboration skills, are attentive, and resolve conflicts constructively.
Furthermore, you are meticulous and place great importance on meeting goals and quality standards. You focus on results and are guided by goal-oriented thinking in prioritization, planning, and action. Additionally, you easily change your direction when goals change and quickly adapt to new circumstances, seeing opportunities in changes. You consider the larger perspective and act in the best interest of the entire organization in your actions and decisions.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a strong awareness of security and confidentiality.
